(Interesting thing about this story is that while Kit is usually the practical one and Ruthie is the dreamer in the central series, the two switched roles in this story, if only in the beginning. I think that was a nice bit, actually. It was already established in the central series that Kit still had improbable dreams of having a really awesome tree house, so it’s nice to see that she still hasn’t given up on that wish. Plus it helps make the moral all the more meaningful in the end.)
