Gah, this is quite a big project I’ve been working on. Anyone remember the American Girl dolls? I was a huge fan as a kid and I grew up with all of these ladies, so I wanted to make a sort of tribute to them. I’ve got 7 of 12 portraits done. I’m posting them in the hopes that it will motivate me to finish! I still have to finish actually drawing them, then ink and color. Whoop.
These look great so far! I hope you’ll have the motivation to finish them :)
Who else read the American Girl books as a kid? My younger siblings are getting into them now as they go along with history studies so I have been reintroduced to it all!
These are what Itty Bitty humans look like. Animals are easier than people for me so humanish commissions are $2 instead of animals for $1 (will also take equivalent in dA point or Subeta moneyz). Commission info post to come soon, along with some more detailed traditional art, I promise!
Characters here are property of American Girl.

Back in the day, around 2005-ish or so, each of the historical character’s webpages would actually have a song play when the page loaded. I liked to think that they were the theme music for the characters, and I was disappointed when the newer webpages no longer had them. Luckily, after much trial and error and with help from the wayback machine, I managed to record their songs!
This blog is dedicated to all things American Girl: from the books to the dolls, from the historical collection to the modern, from the magazine to the self-help books, this blog will focus on all!
If there is anything you want to submit, from your own fanart/pictures to musings about the industry, feel free to share it!
